Suffragan Bishop-Elect Joseph E. Walker, Jr. is the Senior Pastor and Co-founder of Restoration Christian Fellowship Church, which was established in November of 2007, in Warren, Ohio.

My Story

Bishop-Elect Walker has an intense passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God while igniting a powerful atmosphere of praise and worship as he ministers. Bishop-Elect Walker believes in the restoring power of Jesus Christ and shares this message with authority and conviction wherever he is called upon to minister. God has blessed him with a ministry armed to bring restoration to many. He believes that through the experience of worship, teaching and preaching of God’s Word, individuals will be healed, delivered, set free and restored to their Kingdom purpose.

 

Bishop-Elect Walker was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel in 2003 and ordained in October 2007 by Pastor Alton L. Merrell, Sr. He attended Berean Bible College and Logos Bible Institute. Bishop-Elect Walker is a member of the Beth-El Fellowship of Visionary Churches under the leadership of Bishop Flanvis Josephus Johnson, where he serves on the Executive Board as pastoral liaison and serves as the Worship and Music Ministry Director. He is a graduate of Kent State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Studies with a concentration on Human Development and Family Studies and is also a State certified Journeymen Carpenter.    Bishop-Elect Walker was elevated to the position of Suffragan Bishop-Elect on March 19th, 2024, by presiding Bishop F. Josephus Johnson.

 

Bishop-Elect Walker is employed as a Carpenter at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and a former Adjunct Professor at Eastern Gateway Community College in Youngstown, Ohio. Bishop-Elect Walker currently serves on the Board of Inspiring Minds as Board President. He also serves as the Board President of the RCF Family Life Center, on the Kent State Community & Law Enforcement Focus group and on the Mayor’s Police & Community Trust initiative. Bishop-Elect Walker is the President of the Trumbull County Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance and a 2019 inductee to the Trumbull African American Achievers Association Hall of Fame.

 

Bishop-Elect Walker has been married to Co-Pastor Kimberly D. Walker for 33 years and they are the proud parents of two sons: Min. Joseph Walker, III, and Min. Jeremy Walker.
